Before costume designing I was a fashion designer with my own studio in Pacific Palisades, Ca. I loved designing evening gowns and wedding gowns. In 1994, I designed some dresses for Crystal Carson who was on General Hospital and that blossomed into dresses for other soap stars. I loved it when they appeared in magazines in my dresses.

I especially loved to work with brides, designing dresses that would be treasured forever. I closed my studio almost 10 years ago to concentrate on costume designing, but still get talked into a wedding dress every now and then. That experience serves me well when designing for the stage or screen, as an original and unique look is often called for … more than you can find in a store already made.
