Kung Pow Enter the Fist

One of my most challenging projects. The creator, writer, director, actor Steve Oedekerk had a great idea of shooting new footage to place into an old movie … an old Japanese movie from the 70’s no less! We had to match the dye lots of the costumes that were in the scene we were to slip new footage into and the designs of some. The most fun was recreating the 70’s styles that Ling wore, but the most challenging part was creating a costume for a one-breasted figure. I didn’t think much of it until I went to drape it on the dress form. Steve wanted this one breast to have cleavage too! Well you need two to come together to do that. Somehow I got it to work and the makeup department helped out a lot with shadows and contours. Then sadly only one costume made it to the screen and the other is at the end of the DVD.
